I like old sh!t

I remember the first time I saw this bike. A guy who lived on my block was moving and sold it to the dude I bought the CL from. As he rolled it out of the garage to the new owners house the tank shined in the sun. I was thinking to myself "why do I always miss the good deals". Several years later when the CL guy went to move himself he offered me the bike. I was so pumped walking over to his house to pick it up. Imagine my thoughts when I turned the corner to see it laying down with the engine ripped out of it. After I wheeled the now rusty chassis over to my house I went back for the engine. When I picked up the bottom end with the barrels taken off water sloshed out of it.I've kept my eye out for a donor bike for a few years now. They don't allow 2 stroke bikes on the streets of the U.S. unless they were made prior to the ban. So this is definitely a bike you won't see on the road very often. The plate on it is from California. Tags expired in 1973. The bike has over 19,000 miles on it. But the Avon speed master upfront looks brand new.

No trabajo No cervesa

I woke up extra early this morning to deal with the cold. Got the car all nice and warmed up and headed into work. I was the only guy to show up. I guess I was out of the loop. Not that I was all that looking forward to freezing my balls off this morning. But Christmas is right around the corner and I need as much money as I can get. When I was a kid we had to save up to be poor. So I really like to spoil my little girl. It's 22 degrees Fahrenheit right now. All I studied in high school was the female anatomy and the affects of liquor. So my math may be off but I think that converts to -5.5 Celsius. Thursday it's supposed to drop down to 11 Fahrenheit so it's going to get colder.While I was sitting at home feeling like a dumb ass for driving into work these guys were tearing up the block.

When I started out building my bike I joined A few forums. One of those was Bobbertalk.com. That's were I came across this bike. Some bikes have it and some bikes don't. This bike has it plus some. In a world were the word "custom" is loosely thrown around. This bike truly stands out. I honestly beleive you can't call a part that has a stocking number custom. This bike has none of those issues. You can't order the hardtail off the internet. That was made by EA for this bike and this bike alone. The same goes for the pipes the chopped down girder and numerous other one off parts. Not only can this guy build a truly "custom" bike he can take a hell of picture. All photos seen here (besides the riding shot of course) are taken by him.
